Not another one!
Not another blog!
Not another, self important babbling individual….

Sorry to disappoint. Yes, another one, another blog but wait! I don’t think bloggers are self-important, not all of them, just like not all people like asparagus… but some do. That’s what makes us INDIVIDUALS!

So, what’s the meaning of all this? Well, here’s the deal. So many times I have something to say, that i feel led to say, that I feel has been laid on my heart or that I just feel like going on a tangent about and i figure, i might as well say it here and then i know it will be heard (read) by someone who wants to hear it… See, you’re here on purpose 🙂 DOH!

So begins “the blog”… I plan to write on points to ponder, things to study, and recipes… I will definitely add recipes. If you like it, tell me! If you disagree with me, tell me! As i sit here with my bird on my shoulder, the fan gently blowing a breeze around the room and the hum of the computer fan just to my left these words have been ringing in my head….

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing. In songs and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

That’s a song that is dear to my heart from my Youth Group days at High Street Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. It’s also the words to Colossians 3:16 there are a lot of really good “3:16’s” in the bible… you should check it out. Some morning when you have extra time on your hands..
There’s the popular John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have ever lasting life.
Galatians 3:16 gives you something to think about – Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one,“And to your Seed,” who is Christ.
Philippians 3:16 is good advise about unity in The Body – Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.
Acts 3:16 is just one example of what faith can do – And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Here’s the point… Taking an adventure through the Word of God is just that, an adventure! Hopefully, this little blog of mine will be an adventure as well.

Thank you for reading this… my first entry… it means a lot to a simple girl like me.
